Sold as pets

Some wild animals are sold as pets and they are often not treated properly!

It might seem like you’re doing good if you adopt a endangered animal but often thay come straight from the wild. Sometimes poachers kill mother monkeys or apes and sell the babies. However some animal mightn’t originate from the wild but have been breed to be pets this is fine.

People often don't now how to look after these animals or don't have enough space to properly care for them. It is unfair to take wild animals out of their home. The animals also will be stressed being with humans all the time. You should not have a wild pet unless you are a specialist and can properly look after it.

Baby chimpanzes are often sold as pets. There mothers are hunted for food and there babys are sold as pets for lots of mony. This is not good for the baby chimiz as thay are not look after proaly and can suther abus from ther oners. When thay grow older and out of control thay are often huntid for food as well. But ther is hope for these litle chimps thoe peple are doing alll thay can to help theres organis ashons rescoing them and taking them to places where thay can get over the tramer of having there mother shot and lern sikils so thay can be relist in to a area ofland or the willd! But it costs a lot of mony to do this theres lots of spesal awitmant and bildings reqird to look after and tech thes chimpazes and it thay can run out of muny fast!
