Some animals are hunted because they’re seen as a threat
If they attack people or livestock these animals are seen as a threat and hunted, which makes sense but these animals are often endangered and sometimes they did not do anything and we’re just living their lives in the woods! But because they could be a threat they are hunted. This can cause big problems for the species and can leave them with very few individual animals left.
What did they do exactly? Well sometimes they attack humans but this is not their fault, it’s an instinct as humans have not been nice to them before. How would you like it if strange animals who have killed your species many times before entered your territory and you think they might kill you? But you have have sharp teeth and claws so you would defend yourself and attack wouldn’t you?
See if we just leave them alone they would be less likely to attack. Instead we should focus on defending the town instead of attacking the threat. The other reason people attack is when animals attack livestock like sheep and cows. Well imagine if you were that animal - you’re very hungry and you can’t find food, then you stumble across this strange thing calld a town and inside it is enough food to feed you and your pack for days! So why would you not hunt the food? The best way to stop the nimble animals from hunting the food is to defend the livestock -it can be quite tricky to get over a good wall or fence!
